Ynstruccion que el Exelentisimo Señor Conde de Revilla Gigedo, Virrey ... de esta Nueva España dejo escrita para que ... sus succesores tuviesen un particular modelo ... [ca. 1794].

The principal item of the two volumes is a copy of the detailed instructions for the government of New Spain drawn up by Revilla Gigedo during his viceregal term, 1789-1794, for the benefit of his successors, containing pertinent financial and census tables. The instructions are preceded by copies of an anonymous prologue (n.p., n.d.) eulogizing Revilla Gigedo; a letter, Mexico City, June, 1794, from Revilla Gigedo to his successor, Branciforte; and the judgment of the Council of the Indies, Madrid, March 20, 1800(?), posthumously vindicating Revilla Gigedo, with a note on subsequent royal action, and an anonymous sonnet.
